By next spring, Archos will launch a new smartphone 5-inch (Full HD), MediaTek MT6753 chip and Android 5.1 Lollipop. Its name is Archos 50D Oxygen and will cost 180 euro.
Archos 50D Oxygen specs include 5” IPS full HD 1920 x 1080 pixel display with full lamination technology that gives it deep blacks and vivid colors. In short, the Archos 50d Oxygen is elegant, functional and modern.
This octa core chip, MediaTek MT6753 (Cortex-A53) runs at 1.3 GHz and is backed by 2 gigabytes of memory and 16GB of flash storage. This is expandable via microSD card slot. You also get dual SIM functionality, 802.11n WiFi , Bluetooth 4.0 and 4G / LTE radio (Cat.4), two cameras 13-megapixel with LED flash (on the back) and 5 megapixel (front), and a removable battery with capacity of 2100 mAh.
The operating system is Android 5.1 Lollipop but probably will be upgradeable to Android 6.0 Marshmallow soon. Archos 50d Oxygen will be on sale in Italy in May at a price of 179.99 euro.
