Acer has released the One 10 netbook on its website and has spilled the beans on its specifications as well. Called the Acer One 10, it is a hybrid 2-in-1 laptop with 10-inch screen and Intel Atom Z3735F (Bay Trail) processor. It is already on sale for 199 dollars. It is surprising that Acer did not release any press releases.
Acer One 10 specifications include 10.1 inch display, Intel Atom Z3735F processor clocked at 1.33 GHz, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and two camera (front and rear) packing 2 megapixels each. It currently runs Windows 8.1 with Bing but you will get Windows 10 upgrade for free.
The 10.1-inch display has a resolution HD (1280 x 800 pixels) and has wide viewing angles, and a card reader that allows expansion of the internal memory. Unlike the Acer Switch series, the screen is not detachable. However you can fold the display back and use it as standalone tablet since the display has touch panel and accepts all sorts of touch panel gestures. Keyboard is disabled in this mode.
It has a total thickness of 25 mm and weighs 1.17 kilos. We are expecting its official launch at IFA 2015 where we might do its video review as well.
