Toshiba Portege Tecra X30 and X40 have been launched in Europe. These ultra thin laptops are made for demanding professionals in mind. It has magnesium chassis, going from 16-17mm and weighs 1-kilos. It will be launched in second quarter of 2017. Both laptops are powered by Intel Core kabylake processors and come with onyx blue and light gold colors.
Toshiba Portege Tecra X30 weighs only 1.07 kilos and is extremely thin, at only 15.9mm. It is about 11 percent thinner and 13 percent lighter than its predecessor. On other hand, the X40 has thickness of only 16.9mm and weight of 1.25kg. This makes the X30 11 percent thinner and 13 percent lighter.
The tough body magnesium alloy chassis is able to absorb nearly all shocks. Its reinforced honeycomb increases the resistance of the body as well. Both of these new models feature full HD 1920×1080 pixels anti-glare panels with optional in-cell touch technology.
Toshiba has also equipped it with backlit keyboard with slightly enlarged keys that offer superior comfort and maximum write endurance for users who work on the move. Toshiba confirms its confidence in the reliability of new products through the Reliability Guarantee, which allows Toshiba or a service provider authorized to provide free repair or full refund in the unlikely event that the device is broken within one year.
To help business users to be connected and work efficiently wherever they are, the Portégé Tecra X30 and X40 have advanced capabilities to connect, including compatibility with a series of dongle for several user situations and will soon be available WWAN on devices.
