Toshiba has updated its C50 and C70 laptops with Intel Core i5 haswell processors and latest AMD Radeon R7 M260 GPU. The C50’s display measures 15.6 inch and packs HD 1366 x 768 pixel resolution, while the Satellite C70 has 17.3 inch screen with HD+ 1600 x 900 pixels. Toshiba is offering a touchscreen version called C50t which is identical to C50 but packs a touchscreen panel. Another AMD powered C50D is also available.
Aforementioned specifications are backed by 16 GB of RAM, AMD Radeon HD 8400 video card and traditional hard drives with a maximum capacity of 1 TB. Other components include optical drive type DVD Super Multi Optional, two USB 2.0 ports, one USB 3.0, HDMI digital video output, memory card reader 2-in-1 audio jack for headphones and microphone, Wi-Fi modules and Bluetooth 4.0, HD webcam and 6 hour battery life.
The C50 measures 380 x 259.9 x 26.6 mm while the C70 has 413 x 268 x 29/33.7 mm dimensions. It has similar specifications but has more powerful AMD Radeon R7 M260 GPU. Pricing details are not available right now.
