Sony Vaio Z (Z2) 2011 is one of the most powerful laptops around. The major reason why Z is being touted as a very fast laptop is due to its fast SSD. The 256GB SSD is basically two 128GB SSD stacked and configured together in RAID 0 configuration.

As you can see, the Vaio Z’s SSD was able to achieve 1042MB/s while reading and 274.6MB/s while writing data. Many are saying that its SSD is as fast as Vertex 2 SSDs configured in RAID 0 configuration.
