Samsung ATIV Book 9 Lite looks like an ultrabook but since it packs an AMD processor, we cannot call it one, at least technically. Inside, you will find an AMD A6 processor, 128GB SSD and 4GB RAM. And like any modern ultrabook laptop, it packs a 10 point capacitive touchscreen and runs Windows 8 operating system.
As the AMD CPU is much cheaper than the Intel processor, the price of the Samsung ATIV Book 9 is just 799 dollars. Battery life is around 5.5 hours on a single charge, which is kind of disappointing now as you can get more than 7 hours from a haswell powered ultrabook.
Other specs include 13.3 inch display, 1366×768 resolution, 3.5 pounds weight, 2x USB ports (1x 3.0), mini VGA, micro HDMI, headphone jack and SDXC card reader. It will be released on July 28, 2013.
If you are looking for something on the higher end, check out the Samsungs’ Ativ book 6 which packs 15.6 inch full HD display and a quad core Core i7 processor backed by 8GB RAM and 1TB hard disk.
