If you are looking for a small laptop or a netbook in 2016 then portabook XMC10 should be on your list. This mini laptop packs an 8 inch display with foldable keyboard that is normally found in a 12 inch laptop.

Portabook XMC10 specs include 8 inch HD display packing 1280 x 768 pixel resolution, a keyboard that is found in 12 inch laptops, Intel Atom x7-8700 processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of eMMC 5.0 storage, WiFi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.0, stereo speakers, a USB 2.0, HDMI and VGA, as well as a micro USB port. Portabook XMC10 runs Windows 10 64 bit operating system and also comes with one year free subscription of Office 365.
Portabook XMC10 processor is Atom X7 Z8700 which is the most powerful atom CPU out there scoring 61.87 FPS in PCmark8 CPU benchmark test and 25143 in 3D mark graphics test.
Portabook XMC10 weighs 816 grams and measures 203 x 152 x 33 mm when closed but with keyboard open, it expands to 264 x 152 x 33 mm. Battery life is about five hours with normal Internet usage and it takes 3 hours to charge it. It is lithium polymer type so it should take a lot of cycles before it dies.
Portabook XMC10 is Japan only for now
The laptop will be launched initially in Japanese market in February 2016 with a list price of about 90,000 yen which is about 740 US dollars. The manufacture might launch it in other countries if they sense enough demand for it.
Heaven for those who type a lot
I personally was never too comfortable on laptops that have small keyboards. Remember the Asus Eee 701 that had small display and a really small keyboard – it is totally impossible to touch type on that unless you child-like hands. The keys were small and there was little key travel.
