Panasonic CF-54 specifications, semi rugged thin laptop under Toughbook series

Panasonic CF-54 is a semi rugged laptop that is thinnest and lightest in its class. Weighing 1.9 kilograms, it can withstand drop from 1 meter. The entire chassis is made from magnesium alloy and has comfortable grip which is important for those who travel a lot. The Panasonic CF-54 is MIL-STD810D certified which ensures that it has resistance to shocks and falls up to 1 meter in height.

Panasonic Toughbook CF-54 specifications include HD or full HD IPS display with optional touchscreen and brightness of 1000 nits. It is powered by Intel Core i5-5300U 2.3 GHz processor, Intel HD 5500 integrated graphics and up to 16 GB of RAM. For storage you get 128 or 256 GB solid state drives. Port connectivity options include three USB 3.0 ports, a USB 2.0, HDMI and VGA output port, serial port, audio combo jack for line In and Out ports, dual RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet LAN module, SD card reader, DVD Super Multi, Wi-Fi 802.11ac chip dual-band, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and 4G-LTE (last two are optional).

You also get 1080p webcam, TPM module, Kensington docking security, Computrace technology and optional fingerprint and Smart Card readers. Battery life on the Panasonic CF-54 is excellent. The company claims 8 to 11 hours of runtime and if that is not enough you can stretch it to 18 hours with second auxiliary battery. Choice of battery sizes include 2960, 3220 or 4080 mAh. The Panasonic Toughbook CF-54 will be available at authorized dealers in February at a starting price of $ 1,499.
