Dell will be launching a redesigned and improved version of its popular XPS 13 series. Called the Dell XPS 13 2018, this laptop will be slimmer, lightweight and boasts carbon fiber frame along with three USB Type-C ports, micro SD card reader and IR webcam that supports Windows Hello. Dell XPS 13 has been one of the top selling and best ultrabooks over the last few years. People love it for its slim design and powerful specifications that give other laptops in its segment a run for their money. The new Dell XPS 13 2018 brings improved Intel Core i-series kabylake R processors to the table.
Dell XPS 13 2018 will be officially launched at the CES 2018. The designer of this laptop has taken design cues from the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 laptop. Out of three USB type-C ports, one has thunderbolt 3 function. From the pictures, we can see that the bezels around its high resolution infinity display are even thinner than the XPS 13 2017 9360 model. The front camera is still oddly located at the bottom of the screen.
As expected, the Dell XPS 13 2018 is even slimmer and lighter than the outgoing generation. The materials, as reported by Techradar, have changed too and so have the color options as the Dell XPS 13 2018 will be offered in Rose Gold and Alpine White. The chassis is made of fiber glass material that will add a premium feel to it.
