Asus Transformer Book Flip TP201 now with Pentium N3710, 48Wh

Asus Transformer Book Flip TP200 specs have been updated and it is now called the Asus Transformer Book Flip TP201. It comes with a beefier battery and improved processor which is N3710. Asus Transformer Book Flip TP201 specs include 11.6 inch IPS HD 1366x 768 pixel display that can titled up to 360 degrees, allowing user to turn the laptop into a tablet – and vice versa of course. You can also use this 11.6 2 in 1 laptop in tent mode which is great for watching movies  – place the 11.6” laptop on a desk and you have the laptop in perfect position for watching videos.

According to, Asus Transformer Book Flip TP201 spec sheet also include 4 gigabytes of memory, a USB type-C port, 1x USB 3.0 and a USB 2.0 port. Connectivity options include 802.11ac wireless LAN, Bluetooth 4.0 and an HDMI port.

The Intel Pentium N3710 is more powerful than the Celeron N3050 and celeron N3700 that were used in previous generation but it is not based on latest Skylake architecture – it’s still braswell so the TDP of both new and old processor is same – stuck at six watts. That said, the asking price by Intel has lowered, going from 161 to 108 dollars so either Asus will reduce the price tag of the TP201 or will gain more profit.

Battery life will definitely see a nice bump thanks to to 48Wh – earlier one was 38Wh. Dimensions are still same measuring 297 x 201.3 x 18.45 and weighing 1.2 kilos. Asus is expected to announce this Transformer Book Flip TP201 on Computex 2016.
