Acer has released Aspire R7, a haswell equipped laptop with active pen input along with Aspire E1 with touch screen display at the IFA 2013. After Iconia A3, it is the turn of R7, a laptop with four modes of use, including a tablet mode as shown in picture below.
To make full use of the digitizer, myriad applications come pre installed. For instance, MemoryBinder to retouch photographs, SceenGrasp to "capture" images with pen and Scrapboard to collect images and ideas. Also included is AccuFinger, which according to Acer, allows you to select small objects on the screen with the finger so that you do not have to take the stylus out of silo.
Acer has also released an updated version of Aspire E1 laptop. It has been updated with the Intel haswell processor. A model with AMD APU is also present. The display, which is new to the E1 supports up to 10 points of contact and we are sure windows 8 will be a joy to use with it.
The Aspire E-series laptops will be available in many colors. The 14-inch will be available in white, silver and black, while the 15-inch version in red, black and silver. Aspire E1 will be on sale from mid-October at a price of 399 Euros / dollars.
