Acer One S1001 is a 10 inch hybrid tablet that doubles as laptop thanks to the bundled keyboard dock. Launched in the Asian market for 325 dollars or 285 euro, it features a same 2 in 1 concept that the company has been using on Acer Aspire Switch 10 and other hybrid tablets from quite some time.
Acer One S1001 specifications include Intel Atom Z3735F bay trail processor with 1 gigabytes of memory. We have been told that a model with 2GB memory is already in the works. Storage space is 32GB which can be paired with 500GB traditional hard disk drive installed in its keyboard dock.
Other Acer One S1001 specifications include 10.1 inch HD 1280 x 800 pixel display which is surprisingly crisp. There is a 0.3 megapixel front camera and a 2 MP rear camera as well. Communication radios include 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 and its ports selection includes two USB 2.0 ports (one on the keyboard), a micro USB and a micro HDMI port. The keyboard houses a massive 6000 mAh battery that is quite uncommon in Windows 8.1 tablets.
At the moment there is no word if Acer is planning to bring Acer One S1001 to Europe and US. We will probably know more about this on the upcoming mobile world congress 2015 event where Acer is also participating so stay tuned.
