Acer is preparing to launch a new projector, the H5380HD. It uses DLP technology with a single DMD HD-Ready resolution (1280 x 720 pixels). The projector is capable of accepting Full HD signals with maximum supported resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. The brightness levels reach about 3000 lumens in standard mode, with a lamp life (OSRAM) between 5000 and 6000 hours. The contrast ratio is 17.000:1. Its lens has 2x digital zoom and keystone correction between -40 ° and +40 °.
Despite being a low cost product, it lets audio to be handled separate. You can use the built-in mono speaker for outputting the sound. It is capable of delivering a power of 2W. The Acer H5380BD is compatible with Nvidia 3DTV and 3D sources too, but you must purchase the appropriate accessoriesseparately to make them work.
The available connections include two inputs and a VGA output, an HDMI MHL-compatible input, S-Video, Composite, two inputs and one audio output jack of 3.5 mm. H5380BD retails with a price tag of EUR 500.
